Health & Physical Suggestions For Your Employees & Volunteers

Caring for your physical health is critical today.  We are all challenged by a world of cultural change, not only physically, emotionally, mentally, psychologically, and financially, but by our relationships,  our work, value system, beliefs, education or lack thereof, and by technology. We are therefore presented with continual choices, some minor, and others monumental in scope and nature. Therefore, it is critical that we follow some basic risk management strategies each day. Your best defense is a healthy immune system.  This system is what stands between you and the death of all aspects of your life.  A weak system allows colds, flu, and a host of others illnesses to attack you and defeat your body. A weak immune system also affects your personality, energy level, character, and attitudes in ways which can cause pain in relationships, and work, and cause depression and other physicological issues, as well as the decisions of your life.  Here are some basic risk management suggestions to help your immune system to be at its best.  These are given as suggestions only to encourage discussion with your medical professional for the correct application for yourself. These were given to me from my own physician and may be of help to you as you face life today.

Drinking enough water:

Drink pure water each daily equal to onehalf your body weight in ounces, but no more that four to six ounces at a time. This is designed to flush and cleanse your system regularly. Not enough water makes all waste more concentrated within your system, causing  possible defeat in some areas followed by illness and other issues. My physician said people drink less water as they age, thus causing many problems for them.

Proper physical activity:

Leisurely walk five miles each day,  preferably in the early morning to recieve the morning sun. This provides the pumping action that moves your immune system fluid, unlike the heart that moves your blood through its system. Without the physical activity, the lymph fluid pools in lymph glands awaiting movement. If there are invaders in the concentrated fluid, it can cause some real issues for your body to deal with as it continues to get more concentrated.

Proper rest:

This provides the system rest because the body is not producing as much waste for the system to deal with.

Proper nutrition:

This provides the right elements needed by the immune system for chemical transactions that are needed each day.  Some foods and other items people consume actually cause chemical transactions that defeat the system as it attempts to do its work. A good supply of fresh vegetables and a good balance of the other food groups with some supplements are great. Avoid sugars, white flower, and artificial additives as much as possible. Natural butter and other natural oils are preferred to margarine. Wash all vegetables before eating in a vegetable rinse to remove chemicals and such. Meats should be lean and free range as well as eggs, these are natural and healthly my physician claimed, as they have less additives in them from their feed.

The medical profession claims:

Life is fought and won on the cellular level which few understand and most seem to not care to understand, as they go about their busy life from day today.  Sometimes we are the architects of our own demise by our business, neglectfulness, naivety, and lack of caring.  Life is short and what is done today can affect tomorrow; a day lost cannot be reclaimed. We need to decide to start today and look forward to what life is before us, making the best of what we have left. There are no second chances for a day once lived. My physical has told me that these elements included on one's life could greatly cut your chances of prostate cancer for men and breast cancer for women as well as other life threatening illness like diabetes. The benefits are very obvious the choice is yours, for a life of existance or one of enjoyment as you live long today.
